Recently the on/off switch on my lathe became stuck and while waiting for a spare I played about with a foot control that I had .

Although this particular control was really not suitable for a lathe it got me thinking that my wife's electric sewing machine had a foot control that would be perfect. She however disagreed , so I was forced to try my local Singer stockist who was able to oblige with a secondhand foot control for £8.

So for a quite modest outlay and very little trouble to fit I had a very useful conversion to my lathe. Guy L.Edwards
