Changing a belt on the DML 24 lathe

1. Unplug from mains.
2. Undo Allen screw on outside of head. Remove and retain large washer.
3. Replace screw and tighten.
4. Striking against this screw knock out spindle towards tailstock . Try mallet or hammer and wood block or very short Allen key.
5. For extra clearance loosen pulley grub screws and move to one side.
6. Ensure all pulleys line up before tightening up.
7. Remember to replace the large washer under the Allen screw.
