2001 AGM

This followed the usual format including reports from the various committee members. It is worth repeating what the outgoing treasurer, Harry, said about the finances of the Chapter. Thanks to the considerable expenditure incurred in running out seminar last year we wound up much poorer than a year ago. In fact without the grant of £400 from the South Dublin Co.Council we would have had a shortfall of £430. Its blamed on lack of support from our own Chapter members for that seminar. So the new Committee has to think hard about the next venture of this kind.
The chairman thanked everybody who had helped over the past 12 months including Joe O’Neill for his TV and videos of the demos; Frank Gallagher for the workshops and competitions; Owen Furniss for setting up and maintaining our new website; Hugh Flynn for Photos used on the website; Seamus Carter for making those wonderful folding tables used at every meeting; and so on. I think he forgot no one but if I have neglected to name somebody here its not that you are not appreciated, just my memory at fault.
